Who we are

ClawISP is a Uruguayan platform that provides internet service providers and cable TV operators with automated customer service over WhatsApp. Contact: soporte@clawisp.com.

There are two distinct situations, and they are best kept separate: the data of the people who use the panel (each company's team), which we process ourselves; and the data of each company's subscribers, which we process on the company's behalf and under its instructions.

1. Data about the people who sign in to the panel

To sign in to the panel, each person identifies themselves with their Google account or with a code sent to their email address, through Cloudflare Access. From that process, we receive and store:

We use this information for two purposes: to verify that the person has permission to sign in, and to keep an activity log that makes it possible to know who did what, which is necessary for the security of each company's account. We do not access the contents of the person's mailbox or their Google contacts: signing in with Google only provides us with the verified email address.

2. Data about each company's subscribers

Each internet service provider or cable TV operator is the data controller for its subscribers' data. ClawISP acts as the data processor: we process that data following the company's instructions and solely to provide it with the service. Depending on each company's configuration, this may include name, phone number, account number, debt status, and WhatsApp conversations.

If you are a subscriber of one of those companies and want to access your data, correct it, or have it deleted, the request should be addressed to the company that provides your service. If you write to us instead, we will put you in touch with that company.

3. Who the data is shared with

We do not sell personal data or disclose it for advertising purposes. Only the providers needed for the service to work are involved:

We may also provide information if a competent authority requires it in accordance with the law.

4. How long data is kept

The panel's activity log is kept for a limited time, one year at most. Conversations and subscriber data are kept for as long as the company keeps the service under contract; when the service ends, they are deleted or returned to the company, as it instructs us.

5. Security

Access to the panel is protected by Cloudflare Access, and each company's data is isolated from that of the others. Backups are encrypted. No system is infallible, but we work on the principle of always requesting the minimum amount of data necessary.

6. Your rights

Under Uruguay's Personal Data Protection Law No. 18,331, you have the right to access, rectify, and update your data and, where applicable, to delete it. Email us at soporte@clawisp.com and we will respond within the time limits set by law. You may also file a complaint with the Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales (URCDP), Uruguay's data protection authority.

7. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and publish the new version at this same web address.
